Service providers for individuals with developmental disabilities face ever-increasing challenges of government tracking and reporting requirements, coordinating services among multiple providers in multiple locations, tracking staff training, and containing costs. PHS has developed an Internet application -- InfoServ DD -- to reduce the administrative time and costs associated with tracking and reporting client services, financial information, incidents and investigations and employee training. InfoServ DD captures complete information about individuals.

InfoServ DD is designed for use by non-technical staff with an emphasis on ease of use and flexibility. For example, drop-down lists are used extensively to minimize typing and ensure valid data entry. With minimum training and low entry costs, both small and large service providers can have access to the centralized information and reporting facilities provided by InfoServ DD.

  • The highly flexible human resources module of InfoServ DD gives you the information you need to track your employees in this high-turnover industry. A prior employee's record can be re-opened and simply have a new employment record added. An employee may have multiple positions and pay rates. We also track their login and logout times, their work schedules, driving information, Worker's Compensation claims, W4 information, health items such as TB skin tests (or any health item you wish to track), employee bonuses and garnishments, job applicants, job vacancies and more.

  • InfoServDD helps service providers meet state training requirements. Staff training requirements are automatically determined, training is tracked, and state compliance levels are reported. Miscellaneous training, such as computer and medical, may also be tracked. Information about training centers, trainers, and course expirations may also be entered.

  • Help Desk

    PHS provides customer support via a national toll-free number to the PHS Help Desk. Customers may log Help Desk requests, check the status of requests, and search technical notes 24 hours a day via the Internet. On-call support is provided for after-hours emergencies.

    An Internet Solution

    Customer setup and access to InfoServ DD is easy. Customer workstations use standard Internet browsers to communicate over the public Internet with secure, private Web servers provided by PHS. Customer access to the Internet is provided by any Internet Service Provider (ISP) such as AOL, MSN or cable or DSL providers. Since InfoServ DD runs on PHS servers, application software enhancements are provided to customers when they become available. (InfoServ DD can run on your servers, if requested.)



    Forms and Report Generation

    Forms pertaining to the release of information about an individual can be printed, signed, and tracked. Flexible reporting options are provided to access information collected in the database.

    Communications

    Current information is available to multiple sites electronically. Paper copies and filing can be reduced. Communications are improved with the use of Email by all caregivers and administrators.

    InfoServ DD contains extensive security facilities to ensure that users have access only to authorized information. In addition, the PHS servers are protected from unauthorized access using sophisticated security measures. Independent support coordinators, service providers, government officials, family members, advocates, legal representatives and others involved can be provided with secure access to information about individuals that they serve.

    Costs

    Subscribers of InfoServ DD are billed monthly based on the number of individuals tracked in the database. The only other costs that subscribers incur are for workstations and Internet connections.
